The horizon of the ties of friendship and cooperation between Togo and Egypt is becoming clearer, as evidenced by the recent visit of Togolese head of state Faure GNASSINGBE to Egyptian land in mid-February. With a delegation composed, among others, of the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport Ninsao GNOFAM and the Director of the National Civil Aviation Agency, Colonel Gnama LATTA, exchanges between the various authorities of the two countries made it possible to reach Winning partnership in several sectors of activity. Thus in the field of air transport, a memorandum of mutual understanding through trainings, the transfer of technology was signed. It also foresees the arrival of Egypt Air in Togo in the coming weeks to serve the Togolese capital. The port and road sectors were also at the heart of the exchanges with the resolution of the two sides to find ways to move cooperation in these areas, responding well to Goal 17 of the SDGs.
A second memorandum was also drawn up between the constitutional courts of the two countries, thus creating a permanent framework for dialogue between the two institutions, enabling them to attempt an example of South-South cooperation, South cooperation in the field of constitutional justice in the process of sub-regional integration. The Egyptian ambassador to Togo, HE HE Karim SHERIF, the great architect of this warming cooperation between Egypt and Togo, held a press conference on Thursday, March 2nd, during which all these conclusions between the friendly countries Have been revealed to the general public.
